(TEQIP) Phase II
A MHRD (Govt. of India), Govt. of West Bengal & World Bank Project
RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata is one of around 200 institutions
all over India selected for TEQIP II Sub-Component 1.1 wherein the objective
is Strengthening Institutions to Improve Learning Outcomes and Employability
of Graduates. Apart from improvement of institutional infrastructure for
Teaching, Training and Learning facilities, enhancement of Faculty competence
and quality of Teaching, Research and Consultancy has received focused attention
under the Project. A set of institutional reforms (including NBA Accreditation
of UG programs and UGC granted Autonomy), student performance up gradation
and full duplex linkage with academia and industry are some of the other
planned outcomes of the Project. The funding committed to the Institute
under this Project is Rs. 10 corers.
The Project (spanning till October 2016) took-off officially in September
2011 through a MoU signed between RCCIIT and Govt. of West Bengal in the
Dept. of Higher Education. Following are the developments/activities done
so far with TEQIP-II funding.
